The Autumn Overshirt is a cold-weather take on our much-loved linen overshirt. Made in a 11oz wool/cashmere cloth with lots of pockets, it's a refined piece, partially lined, versatile enough to be a jacket alternative right through the colder months

The Autumn Overshirt is an easy, versatile piece of clothing.

It’s in the colour we find most versatile: grey herringbone. A midweight wool that means it can be outerwear in September or mid-layer in November, and a design that is simple but functional. 

An interpretation of the PS Linen Overshirt for transitional months, it has the same classic collar, straight cut and deep chest pockets, but has been refined to feel closer to a jacket.

The aim was to bridge the gap between the familiar ease of an overshirt and the sharpness you'd expect from a jacket.

To this end, we've winded the facing around the upper chest to improve the roll of the placket and collar; the box pleat has been inverted to maintain a cleaner back; the side slits have been cut higher; and the vents feature tonal binding.

The back and sleeves are also lined, making the overshirt easier to slip on and off, and comfortable over knitwear. The sleeve lining is a traditional Savile Row-style stripe, while the back lining is tonal.
