The Suede Cap

The PS Suede Cap is a collaboration between Permanent Style and Lock & Co - their classic Tremelo bakerboy cap made up in a luxurious suede. 

Our founder Simon has worn Lock caps for years in suede, but they don't offer it in classic colours like this dark brown anymore, so we decided to bring it back. 

Offering a little more formality and sharpness than a baseball cap, but also more water resistance than a watch cap or beanie, the suede cap protects the face while really complimenting smart tailoring like a bespoke overcoat. 

Simon says: "Flat caps can come with a little baggage, whether that's Last of the Summer Wine or Peaky Blinders. But in suede the effect is quite different, luxurious and more modern."

The hat comes in four sizes, roughly small to extra large. Simon wears a 60, large. To find your size place a tape measure around your head, from the middle of the forehead and just above the ears. The hat will stretch a little through wear if needed. 

Care: 

• Use a waterproofing spray if the cap will be worn frequently in the rain
• Brush when needed, to remove dirt and dust, and to bring up the nap after getting wet
• Do not place on a radiator or any other heat source, to prevent shrinkage
• If the hat does shrink, a hat jack is effective at stretching it
