Inspired by the vintage Oxfords made by Brooks Brothers and others in the 1950s and 1960s, the PS Oxford uses a fabric woven in Italy exclusively for Permanent Style, combining robust, traditional yarn with finer cottons in the warp – rugged yet luxurious.

Made in a Naples atelier supervised by bespoke shirtmaker Luca Avitabile, beautifully handcrafted with hand-sewn collars and armholes, buttons and buttonholes. Cut to a moderately slim fit.

The collar has been developed by Simon through his bespoke shirts – shaped to curl outwards and frame the face when unbuttoned, and sit around the knot of a tie when fastened.

Sizing
  • All PS shirts (Oxford, Selvedge Chambray, Madras, Ramie, Japanese Denim) are cut to the same body fit, so a size that fits in one should fit in all of them, once washed.
  • The Oxford is the only fabric with noticeable shrinkage, so it's cut slightly larger to begin with. After a couple of washes it settles to the same size as the Denim and Chambray shirts.
  • The steps between sizes are fairly large, covering most people across four sizes. The fit is relatively slim; the best guide is to prioritise fit in the collar, shoulders and chest, since anything from the armpit down can be altered by a tailor (darts or side seams).

  • Weight: 250g/metre (dress fabrics are typically around 200g/m)
  • Pre-washed, but expect some shrinkage – around 1-2cm on sleeve length, 2-3cm on body length. Oxfords are cut slightly larger to accommodate this
