The knit that can be worn with everything – the staple sweater.

A two-ply cashmere yarn, knitted at a 21 gauge, giving an everyday mid-weight that can be worn most of the year, including indoors, and layers well under jackets and coats. The colour is a mid-grey flannel that goes with almost everything, and has a knack of softening strong colours worn alongside it.

It's Scottish made, meaning a tighter knit using more cashmere, which lasts better. The fit is slim but not skinny, for a tailored look, with a slightly longer sleeve than standard models and a simple single cuff for a clean finish.

Sizing
  • Simon's size: Large.
  • This wardrobe classic has a fairly slim body and isn't meant to be clingy, especially if you'll wear it over a shirt. Despite being pictured in a Medium in the original launch articles, Simon now wears a Large.
  • Historically a Medium would have worked just as well and given a slimmer look – it's a style choice between showing more of the body shape versus comfort elsewhere, rather than a fit correction.
